Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour: The base of our puffs, providing structure and texture.
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar: Adds a subtle sweetness with a hint of caramel flavor.
- 1 tbsp baking powder: Ensures our puffs rise beautifully.
- 1/2 tsp salt: Enhances the flavors and balances the sweetness.
- 1/2 cup almond milk: A creamy, non-dairy alternative that binds the ingredients.
- 1/4 cup melted coconut oil: Provides moisture and a delicate coconut aroma.
- 1 tsp vanilla extract: Infuses the puffs with a warm, comforting flavor.
- Powdered sugar for dusting: A finishing touch that adds visual appeal and sweetness.
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin to prevent sticking.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond milk, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
- Fill the Muffin Tin: Scoop the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about three-quarters full to allow room for rising.
- Bake: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes. The puffs should be golden brown, and a toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean.
- Cool and Dust: Allow the puffs to cool slightly before dusting them with powdered sugar. This adds a delightful sweetness and makes them visually appealing.
