Steak Bowl with Potato recipe

  • Author: Olivia

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 lb sirloin steak
  • 2 large potatoes (cubed)
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Optional: hot sauce

Instructions

1. Cook Potatoes

  • Start by boiling the cubed potatoes in salted water for 10-15 minutes until they’re tender.
  • Once cooked, drain the potatoes and set them aside.

2. Sear Steak

  • Season the sirloin steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.
  • After cooking, let the steak rest for a few minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

3. Sauté Veggies

  • In the same pan used for the steak, add another tablespoon of olive oil.
  • Add the sliced bell pepper and spinach to the pan.
  • Sauté the vegetables for 3-4 minutes until they’re tender and vibrant.

4. Assemble Bowl

  • Slice the rested steak into thin strips.
  • Place the potatoes as the base in your serving bowl.
  • Arrange the sliced steak on top of the potatoes.
  • Add the sautéed vegetables to the bowl.
  • Drizzle with optional hot sauce for an added kick.
