Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp sugar
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. This ensures that your casserole bakes evenly and doesn’t stick to the dish.
- First Layer: Unroll 1 can of crescent dough and press it into the bottom of the dish, sealing the seams as you go. This will form the base layer of your casserole.
- Make Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Spread Filling: Evenly pour the cream cheese mixture over the dough layer, ensuring that it covers the entire surface.
- Second Layer: Unroll the second can of crescent dough and carefully place it on top of the cream cheese layer, once again sealing the seams.
- Add Butter & Cinnamon: Brush the melted butter over the top layer of dough. In a small bowl, mix the ground cinnamon with 2 tbsp sugar, then sprinkle this mixture over the buttered dough.
- Bake: Place your casserole in the oven and bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until it turns a beautiful golden brown.
- Cool & Serve: Allow your casserole to cool for at least 20 minutes. This helps set the layers, making it easier to cut into squares. Serve and enjoy the burst of flavors!
